All ATLAS Hovercrafts are diesel / electric powered to provide maximum performance, reliability, and fuel economy at the lowest noise levels possible. Unless otherwise requested, all ATLAS Hovercrafts are powered and controlled by  Diesel Engines and  Electric Motor/Controllers. No aircraft parts are used on any of our Hovercrafts to help insure reliable and low cost operations. Our complete composite construction is as strong as steel, weighs less than aluminum, and will never rust or corrode. In addition, ATLAS Hovercraft Inc. maintains the only full-time Commercial Hovercraft Pilot, Navigator, and Crew Member training program. Our school in Virginia Beach produced 32 USCG Licensed Craftmasters in 2006 and we will graduate over 100 students in 2007. ATLAS Hovercraft Inc. can provide training for your crews as well as full or part time professional staffing to help with the initial operations of your crafts. All our Instructors are ex-US Navy Hovercraft Craftmasters with thousands of hours of international operations
